Antibacterial Testing

Choosing the right test method depends upon factors such as the type of material and the UltraZeo product you are using.

If you have questions about the methods below and which is the best suited for you and your technology, contact us to speak with a technical specialist.

Bacteria and Bacterial Issues

Bacteria are microscopic, single-celled organisms that thrive in vast numbers in virtually every environment. Many bacteria play a beneficial role and support various forms of life, including plants and animals, and are utilized in industrial and medicinal applications. Some bacteria can be harmful, causing odour, staining, or bacterial infections.

Antibacterial additives can be incorporated into materials to prevent the growth of bacteria and to protect against staining, odours, and deterioration caused by these organisms.  Treated materials should be tested to ensure that the product is working properly.
